Strategic Ventures Fund
Strategic Ventures Fund was incorporated in Mauritius in Year 2000 as a close-ended fund, with a mandate to invest in both private and public limited companies across sectors. The fund has a successful investing history across multiple sectors from Engineering to Defence, Pharma, Power Ancillary to IT and BPO. Some of its key investments are Astra Microwave - a defence-electronics company, CBay Systems - a Healthcare BPO, Shilpa Medicare - a Pharma API company specializing in oncology, Titagarh Wagons - a large railway wagons manufacturing company, Alfa Transformers - a power transformer manufacturing company. The fund was converted into an open-ended structure in 2005 with continuing investments as well as redemptions since most of the Fund investments are now listed.
